Advocacy and Advice

Supporting Residents to Navigate Complex Systems

At Community Development 4 ALL CIC, we understand that navigating services and systems can often feel overwhelming, particularly during times of crisis or uncertainty.

Our Advocacy & Advice Service provides free, confidential and person-centred support to residents, helping them understand their rights, access appropriate services and overcome barriers that may be affecting their wellbeing and quality of life.

We work alongside residents, empowering them to make informed decisions and ensuring that their voices are heard.

How We Can Support You

Welfare Benefits

We can provide information and practical support with:

  • Universal Credit (UC)
  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • Housing Benefit
  • Carer’s Allowance
  • Attendance Allowance
  • Benefit applications and reviews

Housing Support

We support residents experiencing housing-related issues, including:

  • Disrepair issues
  • Homelessness and housing applications
  • Temporary accommodation concerns
  • Understanding housing rights and responsibilities
  • Liaising with landlords and housing providers
  • Signposting and referrals to specialist services

Advocacy and Casework

Our team can help residents:

  • Understand letters and official correspondence
  • Complete forms and applications
  • Access local services and support
  • Attend meetings and advocate on their behalf where appropriate
  • Make complaints and challenge decisions
  • Access specialist advice and legal support through referrals

Education and Employment Support

We can help residents access opportunities by providing support with:

  • CV writing and job applications
  • Interview preparation
  • Accessing training and skills development opportunities
  • Exploring higher education pathways
  • Referrals to employment and education providers

Signposting and Referrals

Where specialist support is required, we work closely with trusted local organisations and statutory partners to ensure residents receive the right support at the right time.

Free – There is no charge for accessing support.


Confidential – We treat all information shared with us sensitively and confidentially.


Person-Centred – We listen, understand individual circumstances and tailor support to each person’s needs.


Trauma-Informed – We recognise the impact that trauma and adversity can have on individuals and families and seek to create safe, welcoming and supportive environments.
