CREATIVE, UPCYCLING & GREEN SKILLS

Empowering Local Talent. Inspiring Sustainable Communities

At Community Development 4 All CIC, we believe that every community is rich with talent, creativity and lived experience. Our Creative, Upcycling & Green Skills projects are built on the belief that residents themselves are often best placed to inspire, teach and support one another.

Many of our workshops are designed and delivered by talented local residents, providing paid employment and volunteering opportunities while creating meaningful experiences for the wider community. By investing in local people, we strengthen community pride, develop skills and keep resources within the neighbourhood.

Our creative projects encourage people of all ages to learn new skills, improve their wellbeing, connect with others and develop a greater appreciation for sustainability and the environment.

RESIDENT-LED WORKSHOPS

We deliver a diverse programme of creative workshops led by skilled local residents, artists, makers and community practitioners.

Activities include:

  • Mosaic making workshops
  • Sewing and textile upcycling
  • Creative reuse workshops
  • Arts and crafts
  • Seasonal family activities
  • Community art projects
  • Creative wellbeing sessions

These workshops provide opportunities for residents to learn practical skills, express their creativity and connect with others in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Upcycling & Sustainable Living

We encourage participants to think differently about waste by transforming unwanted materials into something useful, beautiful and meaningful.

Through creative reuse and upcycling, funded by the Cory Group Community Fund, participants learn practical skills while helping to reduce waste and promote more sustainable lifestyles.

Workshops include:

  • Textile upcycling
  • Sewing and repair skills
  • Creative reuse of everyday materials
  • Sustainable crafting
  • Environmental awareness activities

Creating Opportunities for Local Residents

One of the things that makes CD4ALL unique is our commitment to investing in local people.

Wherever possible, we recruit, commission and support local residents to design and deliver activities for their own community. This approach not only creates employment and volunteering opportunities but also celebrates local talent, builds confidence and strengthens community ownership.

By recognising the skills that already exist within our neighbourhood, we help residents turn their passions and expertise into opportunities that benefit the wider community.

More Than Creative Activities

Our workshops deliver much more than arts and crafts.

They help participants to:

  • Develop practical and creative skills
  • Improve confidence and self-esteem
  • Reduce loneliness and social isolation
  • Support positive mental health and wellbeing
  • Learn sustainable living practices
  • Build friendships and stronger community connections
  • Increase environmental awareness
  • Create pathways into volunteering and employment

Our Vision

We believe that creativity has the power to transform communities.

By investing in local talent, encouraging creativity and promoting sustainability, we are creating opportunities, building stronger neighbourhoods and empowering residents to shape a brighter future together.

"Creating opportunities through creativity, empowering residents and building greener, stronger communities."
